This exciting event will showcase the incredible talent of local and emerging musical acts, offering a platform for bands to gain exposure, connect with fans, and compete for exciting prizes.

The Battle of the Bands will feature a diverse range of genres and styles, promising an unforgettable night of live music and fierce competition. Bands will perform their best original songs, vying for the top spot as judged by a panel of industry professionals and audience participation.

Are you the next sound of Santa Clarita?

SCV BandCast is taking over the outdoor stages at Route 66 for the biggest musical showdown in the valley’s history. We are looking for the next great ORIGINAL act.

The Challenge

We are hosting two massive showdowns in 2026: The Summer Slam and the Year-End Championship.

• Eligibility: All bands must be affiliated with Santa Clarita.
• The Rule: 100% original material. No covers. No exceptions.
• The Stakes: Perform on the dual stages at Route 66 and get judged by a combination of celebrity and public judges.

The Judges & The Vote

To ensure professional feedback, we’ve assembled an elite judging panel headlined by KNAC.FM’s DJ Hollywood (Press Release). Known for his keen ear and decades of industry experience, Hollywood and the panel will evaluate bands on originality, technical skill, and stage presence.

Power to the People:

Winning isn’t just up to the pros. We are utilizing a dual-voting system:

50% of the score: Determined by public voting (in-person and online).

50% of the score: Awarded by the Celebrity Judging Panel.

How to Enter

 Step 1: Pre-Register In-Person

To be considered for the SCV BandCast Battle of the Bands, your journey begins on-site. We want to meet the artists representing our scene.

Visit the SCV BandCast booth at Route 66 on any of the following dates to secure your spot in the selection pool:

• March 21
• April 18
• May 16
• June 20

Entry Requirement: A $50 non-refundable pre-registration fee is due at the time of sign-up.

 🎤 Step 2: The Selection Process

Our panel of mainstream celebrity judges and the SCV BandCast team will review all pre-registered acts. Because we are committed to high-production quality on the outdoor stages, registration is strictly limited.

 🏆 Step 3: Final Registration

If your band is selected to compete in the Summer Slam or Year-End Championship:

• A final $150 registration fee is required to lock in your performance slot.
• This fee covers your professional media package, including high-quality content clips and your shot at the $1,000 Grand Prize or $500 Runner-Up sponsored gigs.
