SANTA CLARITA VALLEY MUSIC SCENE IGNITES THIS SUMMER WITH INAUGURAL ‘SCV BATTLE OF THE BANDS’ TOURNAMENT
Presented by SCV BandCast and KHTS Radio, the free-to-the-public live tournament at Route 66 Classic Grill will crown the valley’s top musical talent while raising funds for local food security.
SANTA CLARITA, CA – May 26, 2026 – SCV BandCast, the premier platform dedicated solely to amplifying the Santa Clarita music scene, has officially announced its biggest live production yet: the 2026 SCV Battle of the Bands tournament. Co-presented by local radio powerhouse KHTS Radio and Pure Rock KNAC.FM, the high-stakes musical showdown will kick off its first round on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the iconic Route 66 Classic Grill.
The tournament marks a major expansion for SCV BandCast, transitioning from its highly successful, intimate 2025 residency series at The Main theater into a massive, multi-week competitive community event designed to give local musicians an uncompromised, professional live stage.
The tournament will feature an elite lineup of local musicians performing all-original music across diverse genres. A panel of celebrity judges, alongside a live audience vote, will ultimately decide which group is crowned the valley’s top band.
True to SCV BandCast’s community-driven mission, the tournament is completely free to the public. In addition to providing free access to world-class local entertainment under one roof, the series serves a critical charitable purpose: 20% of all event proceeds will directly benefit Santa Clarita Grocery, an all-volunteer food bank dedicated to fighting local food insecurity.
