SANTA CLARITA VALLEY’S BATTLE OF THE BANDS RETURNS DECEMBER 19 FOR A LIVE SHOWDOWN OF ORIGINAL MUSIC

Presented by SCV BandCast, the December competition will bring Santa Clarita Valley bands together for a high-energy night of original music, live competition, and community — with the winning band earning a $1,000 gig at a Santa Clarita venue.

SANTA CLARITA, CA – August 27, 2026 – SCV BandCast, the platform dedicated to showcasing and supporting the Santa Clarita Valley music scene, has announced the next SCV Battle of the Bands, taking place Saturday, December 19, 2026, at a Santa Clarita Valley location to be announced.

Following the momentum of its 2026 Battle of the Bands events, SCV BandCast is bringing the competition back for another night built around one goal: giving local musicians a professional stage to perform their original music and giving the community a reason to come together and support them.

The December 19 competition will feature a selected lineup of bands performing all-original music across a variety of genres. Each group will have a limited amount of stage time to make its case in front of the audience and judges, creating a fast-paced showcase where every song and every minute on stage counts.

At stake is a top prize of a $1,000 paid gig at a Santa Clarita venue, giving the winning band more than just bragging rights — it provides another opportunity to take the stage, perform for a local audience, and continue building its presence in the Santa Clarita Valley music scene.

A panel of judges, together with audience participation, will help determine which band rises to the top and earns the title of SCV Battle of the Bands champion and the $1,000 gig.

For fans who cannot attend in person, the entire event will be streamed live, expanding the stage beyond Santa Clarita and giving friends, family, music fans, and supporters the opportunity to experience the competition from anywhere.

“SCV Battle of the Bands is about more than determining who wins a competition,” said Amir Soleimani, founder of SCV BandCast. “It’s about creating a stage for original music, bringing musicians and fans together, and showing people just how much talent exists right here in the Santa Clarita Valley.”

Bands interested in competing will be required to submit original material for consideration. Final participants will be announced by December 5, with selected bands completing registration and required performance materials by December 12.

SCV BandCast is also inviting local businesses and organizations to become part of the event through sponsorship and promotional opportunities, providing brands with a way to directly support local musicians while connecting with the Santa Clarita Valley community.

Additional announcements — including the venue, competing bands, judges, event schedule, livestream information, sponsorship opportunities, and additional event details — will be released as December 19 approaches.
