Old Man Group “o.m.g.” was born out of the Covid pandemic. With all the restrictions on gathering and virtually no live music, the founding members started playing acoustically. They played every Saturday at Local Parks, maintaining social distancing. People enjoyed the music and other musicians started to join. As the restrictions were lifted, o.m.g. was formed. The act remained acoustic with two guitars, cajon, and harmonica. Their first show was at the Viper Room and there was a great turnout. Since then, they have expanded into a full five-piece electric band while keeping some of their acoustic roots. The band plays original songs and covers from Beastie Boys to Johnny Cash. All members are 60 years and over hence the name. It’s not just a band it’s a group of friends spending time doing what they love and entertaining people of all ages
