Janine Cooper Ayres comes from a family of writers and artists. While growing up, her 3 older sisters were involved in the arts. Her
parents were very creative too. Coming from this type of environment encouraged Janine to explore & nurture her own creativity. Janine loves to play music for all audiences young and old.
During high school and college Janine performed in several bands, playing bass/keyboards and singing. Later she went on to tour with several bands: opening for R.E.M. with Let’s Active and touring with members of 10,000 Maniacs. In 2008 she started her own educational music label for kids called Music 2 Educate.She has written and recorded over 200 songs in several genres: folk, country, rock, classical & new age. In 2020 Janine won SCV’S talent contest, You’re the Best – with a song she wrote called All in this Together.
Over the past thirty years she has sold over 300 paintings. Her most famous collector is Robert Downey Jr. She is also a character designer, focusing on SCI-FI creatures. Janine started a publishing company called ‘Quotable WisdomBooks’with her husband Alex in 2012. Since that time they published 5 books including a book of short stories that Janine wrote called ‘The Silver Moth & Other Short Stories.’ Most recently she wrote and published a novel called ‘The Wreck of Elizabeth.’
Janine has been acting on TV shows & in movies for nearly thirty years. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild. During the pandemic she began learning how to edit film. Her short film ‘On theRoad with Ed’ can be found on her YouTube channel. She also hosts a show on Youtube called ‘Amazing Elders’.
